I have been singing, performing, and writing songs for most of my life. I lived in Nashville, TN for nearly five years. Like everyone else who moves to Music City, my dream was to get a major label record deal and/or major publishing deal. After nearly five years of doing all the things that you're supposed to do in order to get signed, I had seen and experienced enough to make the decision to trade the major label dream in for the independent/ grassroots dream. "Making it" in my new dream looks a lot less like award shows, stadium tours, mainstream radio spins, and doing as I'm told creatively and business-wise. The new dream consists of traveling the world and making a comfortable living creating, recording, and performing music that I'm passionate about. Due to the generosity of my listeners, I can honestly say that I have never been a starving artist. I make a living off the money that kind folks have placed in my tip jug in the virtual and real world. One day I hope to be able to play mainly original shows with some fun covers mixed in, right now most of my shows are the opposite, mostly covers (80's 90's country, classic rock, classic country, a few modern country like Miranda Lambert and Chris Stapleton) with my originals sprinkled in. I love to travel wherever the music takes me and I use the money from my shows to fund my original projects. This approach allows me to create music MY WAY without the pressure from a label or investor. With that being said, a big THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH to all of you who have thrown some love into my tip jug . If there is ever any reason I should ever be considered successful, its because you helped a sister out and I was able to keep on keeping on.
